We have a golf course here that actually belongs to the city of Gatlinburg and the Gatlinburg Golf and Country Club about 5 miles south of us. We have hiking and camping here as well. There are 800 miles of hiking trails. Mount Lakota is the highest point in the National Park. A lot of people like to hike on that trail. Some of the other trails are the Alan Cave Bluff Trail, the Appalachian Trail which runs through the upper part of the Smoky Mountains, Boulevard Trail, April Falls Trail, Chimney Tops Trail, and Overcades Cove, which is a preserved 1900s farming village. You don't need a permit to hike, but you do to camp. You can get a permit at the Sugarland Visitor's Center just inside the park entrance.
