A synopsis and short introduction to the New Testament book of Acts including a brief outline of the book of Acts.
The book of Acts ties the Gospels of the New Testament to all the other books. Acts contains many references to Peter and Paul as well as the Christian Church and the ascension of Jesus. Acts seems to cover a span of around 30 years. Luke is considered the author of the book of Acts and it is believed he wrote it around the year 61. Acts is often referred to as the "Acts of the Holy Spirit."

· Stephen

· Paul
The importance of the Book of Acts lies in:

· The Great Commission found in Acts 1:8 (but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth)
