There are so many factors that will influence your child's achievement in school: we all naturally want our children to succeed in their schoolwork. But we sometimes have to ask ourselves what is the best way, well sometimes parents run our and buy expensive computer program, hire a tutor, etc.
Sometimes they have the child in afterhours classes also. The real key to your child achieving in school is in the home. When you teach your school just really simple things at home, have him help you cook dinner, assign tasks around the house and also teach him to say thank, these are the things that bring about achievement, not only in the home but at school.
Starting out the day by having a healthy balanced breakfast is the most important meal of the day for a child attending school. When a child doesn't eat breakfast he gets tired and hungry by mid morning and the concentration level is down at scohol or even at home. If you pack a lunch for school put nutritional foods in that box, carrots, celery, apples, etc. not bulky fattening foods that slow down the thought process and make them feel tired. These natural healthy foods are known to boost brain power.
A child needs plenty of sleep, 8 to l0 hours a night while attending school, children that haven't had enough sleep have been known to fall asleep in classrooms and a child just can't be alert without his requirement of sleep.
Exercise also plays an important part in achievement as when he is physically healthy he is also mentally healthy by exercise, sleep and eating nutrition.
Make sure by regular checkups with a child's doctor that there aren't any health reasons for his not achieving in school if you are having problems. There are tests for motor developement, hearing tests, vision tests, etc. for each age group that determine if there are any problems
that could result in low achievement in school.
Sit down when your child is very young and read to him: develop in a child the love of the written word by reading to him and when he learns to read let him read to you, you spend valuable one on one time with your child and then you will see a child in school who loves to learn.
Most of all set an example in the home by taking the very best care of your child by following a healthy home lifestyle: read to him, have him read to you, and this child will achieve in school.
