Lake Point Resort State Park and Blue Springs State Park are our two state parks. Blue spring has a natural spring, where the water stays about 58 degrees all year round. They do actually bottle some of the blue spring water as well and it is sold regionally. It's the smaller of the two state parks but definitely a completely different feel. I think if they have a time I would tell visitors to check out both parks. I think if they had a Sunday to go over the Blue Springs and check it out, they could possibly stay at Lake Point. Lake Point is currently going under about 14 million dollars worth of renovations. All of the Alabama State Parks are going through renovations and they have newly construct cottages that are on the water. They have 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms and they are nice rock-faced cottages that are very natural looking and everything. All of them have private porches with rockers. I went in one of these cabins and I was just amazed. It's not what you would think of a state park being. The furniture was just wonderful and the granite countertops and tile floor are also nice. I mean it is like they thought of everything and they are so cheap. They start at like $110 or $115 a night. It's just crazy and what you get is amazing and especially with that state park. It does have a golf course. We have several golf courses, we have three golf courses in town and then we're 20 minutes away from the state park which has a course right across the Georgia line. They have a great golf course as well. So it's really neat because people can come and do different things and it is almost like different family members can have a completely different vacation experience.
