We have a city park with a big lake right in the middle of it. You can paddle boat, fish, and watch the ducks and geese. There are playgrounds to the north of it and a little kiddie train ride for about $2. There is a little pool area with brand new water features for kids. There is a wave pool, a beach entrance, and a baby area as well. There is a pottery studio, basketball courts, fitness courses around that lake, a miniature Statue of Liberty, and a playground. It's a nice place to picnic with your family.
Another cool park is called Fossil Creek Park. It opened in October of 2003 and offers tennis, skateboarding, land skating, wetland interpretation, unified softball, a little duck park area, and a little Adventure Island play area with high tech toys. Everything is based on dinosaur fossils, and they have a life sized depiction of the wooly mammoth that kids can climb on. When they were digging, they actually found fossils here, so it's an appropriate name for the park.
We have one more park, the Edora Park. Edora has a BMX track, horseshoe pits, and a pool and ice center with a big swimming pool and ice skating rink. Outside there is a disc golf and flag football field. There is also a skate park.
