We do have a lot of parks in the area. Actually the number one attraction in the Bluegrass Region is the Kentucky Horse Park. You can camp and go on horseback riding trails, but that's not really their focus. It's a theme park dedicated to horses of all breeds. Within our city parks, we have a couple of places like Raven Run Nature Sanctuary with hiking trails and birding. A popular evening activity is star gazing. McConnell Springs is actually the birthplace of Lexington. There are hiking trails there as well. I think we have about 250 campsites in this area and the surrounding communities. Some offer primitive camping where others are open to RVs and things like that.
