We have a new hike-and-bike trail in the San Gabriel Park. The San Gabriel Park is on the San Gabriel River, and on the weekends it's packed with families. We have an excellent playscape that was built by volunteers back in 1993. If you take your kids there, you better be ready to stay for a long time, because they are not going to want to leave.
We have awesome sports fields and courts here. We have neighboring communities who hold tournaments at our parks. We have soccer, baseball, basketball, and a tennis center. The tennis center is actually run by the city and is a great facility. The others are run by the parks and recreation department. Georgetown is also home to Sun City, Texas which is known for its beautiful golf courses.
The Inter-Space Cavern is also a great place to stop and take the kids. I do guided tours through the cave. All of this can be found on our website.
