The body, mind, and spirit is the whole person. When your Reiki is unbalanced you need it rebalanced in order for your whole being to be back in harmony. Reiki is the only way to rebalance the whole being. You can go to a medical doctor for problems with your liver and they will want to do a liver transplant, they treat the liver only. One great thing about Reiki treats everything, not just your liver but the reason your liver went bad, was there some other organ dysfunctioning in your body? Do you have an imbalance of something else in your body? It helps in more ways than just medical treatment can. It works with the treatments that a medical doctor can give you. Going to see a traditional medical doctor and seeing a Reiki practitioner don't have to be mutually exclusive practices. The person will feel different things depending on what their situation is and what is wrong with them, who they are. A lot of people, during the treatment, will feel different things than after the treatment. Usually one treatment is not enough to cure really serious problems. You will probably need to go back for several, but once the treatment is over, for example, I worked with a guy who had carpel tunnel in his wrist. He was a bricklayer for his job and I guess the repetitive motion of brick lying had really caught up to him over the years. He was going to have to quit his job just a year before he was able to retire, he was going to loose his pensions for leaving early. He really wanted to keep his job for another year, so he came to me looking for help. His pain subsided enough just after four Reiki treatments, that he was able to go back to work again. He was able to continue working and hasn't had to come back for more since. It healed him in his case enough to where he could do his job and not need to come back for continual treatment. That is just one example of how it can change. I've known of some cases where people have had cancer and the tumor is too big to remove and Reiki can help reduce the size of the tumor so that the doctor can go in and operate. Its just different things, it really depends on the different person's situation as to what Reiki can do for them and how they will feel afterwards.
