This photos shows the complete remodel of a bathroom in a 1946 bungalow home. The bathroom was rotting and termite infested and it sported a 1970s shade of yellow before demolition of reconstruction. Now the floor features black and white hexagonal tile and the walls sport white subway tile. The shower head mimics the look of a clawfoot shower, but the design is modernized with a curbless walk in shower that also serves to make the bathroom feel larger.
Never one for portraiture or stunning vistas, I instead train my lens on traditionally less photogenic subject matter. I love to explore and photograph forgotten corners of a city. Most of my photos were taken in Austin, but you wouldn't recognize them as the usual tourist destinations. My goal -- to find beauty in the mundane and forgotten parts of our decaying and disappearing history. I want to convey a story with my images, or at least capture something in a way most might not have considered.
