What Is The Most Positive Impact You've Seen From Getting A Home Organized?

What is the most positive impact you've seen from getting a home organized? Keeping your home organized doesn't mean you have to become obsessive, but it does bring a great deal of peace to your home because you know where everything is and you can find things easily.

When asked "What is the most positive impact you've seen from getting a home organized?" Lorie Marrero, who is the owner of "LivingOrder", a professional organization company that creates organizing solutions for homes and businesses, remembers the following two people: "I have one client whose house had really gotten away from her. She had five children, and we did her closets. That was the place where we started because it was the place that was bothering her the most. She says that now when she is stressed out, she goes into her closet and turns the light on, shuts her door and just revels in the order! She feels like she can breathe in there and she can understand everything in there. She says that it all makes sense inside her closet, and if she can just go in there for a second, she can get her peace of mind back and return to face the rest of the house. That has always been a funny story to me. Another time, we were helping a client clear some space in a home and we found $5,000 in cash and checks. That was extremely helpful!"

Lorie goes on to remark, "On a smaller scale, I mostly see the stress literally lift off people's shoulders when I'm done with them for the day. I hear them say, 'Oh, thank you!' and I see this incredible relief of so much stress that they have carried around because they have just been 'stuck.' In fact, I tell people all the time that that's what I do. I help people get unstuck."

If you ever avoid going home or ever use the phrase, "I feel stuck with this mess...with no one helping me...with such a small space to fit so many things into..." That is how you know you need to start the task of learning about home organization.

Even if you have a small family, or know for a fact that there is no "pot of gold" buried somewhere under all the mess, getting your home organized can still have just as much of a positive impact on you. You may find smaller "treasures" that you have forgotten about, or thought were long lost. The amount time you will gain from being organized, in itself, will be worth it. Moments better spent with your family, taking up a hobby that you never thought you'd have the time for or just being able to relax in a stress-free, clutter-free environment.

Home organization isn't just about finding a place to put your "things", it's also about using your time wisely and taking back the control disorderly surroundings often takes away. One of the most positive steps you can take to make an impact on your life as well as those who live around you, is to get your home organized. Then "There's no place like home." will finally be music to your ears instead of just drudging up an embarrassing picture of unfinished chores.
