It's really about being vigilant and having an observer part of you that can sort of step aside from your mind and track what you are thinking. Because feeling follows thoughts and if you suddenly end up feeling depressed and bad, you can trace back in your mind what you were thinking that created those thoughts and feelings. What were you thinking about yourself? Were you thinking I could never do that or who do I think I am to think that I could achieve that? That's going to create a depressed, hopeless feeling. Or, maybe you are thinking our world is not going to make it anyway, why even try. It could manifest itself in people's mind in different ways. But being vigilant, having that observer part of you that is aware of what you are thinking can nip it in the bud. Yes, there is bad going on but look at all these good things that we hear that's happening or that's not true in this particular field. There are always miracles. There are ways for people to achieve and don't have to go through the normal system. Stay open to the possibilities. It is very important to have that observer part that can nip those negative thoughts in the bud. By positive thinking I mean sticking your head in the sand and ignoring problems but it is being very aware of what you are thinking and changing it to a positive if possible. Anyone can benefit from positive thinking because it also affects your health and your physical body. Our thoughts are far more important than most people believe or know. I think there is a positive thinking movement. I think Oprah has had an enormous influence in that direction and hopefully she will continue to. One person can make a difference.
