A preformed pond is a plastic pond liner made out of resonated PVC. There are different kinds. They are made out of several different materials. They are great for somebody that wants to have a really small garden pond, but they don't look as natural and they can be difficult to level.
We don't recommend that anybody buy them. I only recommend that method for somebody that just wants to have an instant pond. That's basically what it is. It's an instant pond.
They are generally around the same price that you will pay for a liner. It will cover the same area.
Generally, they carry a warranty anywhere from 1-5 years. They don't last as long as a rubber liner, but once again, they are great for somebody who just decides pretty much in a day they want a pond; they can go throw it in.
