Worried that you might be pregnant? Other than taking a pregnancy test to be certain, look for some of these other early signs and symptoms of pregnancy.
* As silly as it may sound, some women just get a feeling in their gut that they are pregnant. Call it psychic or call it a sixth sense, but some women, especially women who have been pregnant before, can actually sense when they have become pregnant.
* Breast tenderness is also a symptom of pregnancy. Your breasts may feel sore or tender for no reason, or they may seem a little larger than normal. Once again, this could be a sign of something entirely different like hormonal changes due to use of the pill or PMS.
* Some women feel nauseated at different points of the day while other women report vomiting. If these symptoms are, in fact, a result of a pregnancy, they will usually show up anywhere from two weeks to two months after conceiving.
* There are also a group of women who report a more frequent need to urinate. Again, this may be a sign of something completely different like a urinary tract infection or other bladder problem.
* Women who are pregnant also report feeling a sense of fatigue. If you are more tired than usual or find yourself taking more naps or having a hard time getting up in the morning, there is a chance you could be pregnant.
* A symptom called implantation bleeding may be another indicator of pregnancy. This is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy and occurs when the embryo becomes implanted onto the wall of the uterus. During this time, women may experience both slight cramping and spotting.
* General aches, especially in the back, and headaches are common early symptoms of pregnancy. This is usually in direct relation to hormonal changes.
* Another pregnancy symptom often showcased in movies is the tendency to have cravings for certain foods. Movies always use the combination of sweets and pickles, but the food craving can be almost anything for a pregnant woman.
