How To Prevent Salmonella Poisoning

If you contract salmonella poisoning, you will develop symptoms within 12 hours to 24 hours. Those who are most at risk from serious side effects of this are the elderly and very young children. The symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Usually the symptoms will go away in two to five days. If they last longer and you suffer from severe diarrhea, it is important that you contact a physician. Also, contact your physician if you suffer from decreased urine, dry skin, and severe vomiting.

You may need to be treated with antibiotics and be treated with intravenous fluids.
