Overview
Microsoft Publisher can be used to create postcards to print. You can send these postcards to customers for various events or to relatives and acquaintances, too. The fee to mail a printed postcard is not as much as a letter. The time necessary to design a postcard will differ depending on the details you are adding to it. You can easily create and print a postcard in Microsoft Publisher in under an hour. All you need to begin are a few things and you can even include your own picture or graphic.

How to Print on Postcards Using Publisher
-
Step 1
Begin Microsoft Publisher and if its "Design Wizard Catalog" is not already open, select "File" from the menu bar and then "New.. Select "Postcards" on the left side. Use the scroll bar to view the existing postcard templates. Pick one you like and after that click "Start Wizard." You will notice the postcard template on the right side of the screen and the design wizard on the left. Click on "Next" to continue.
-
Step 2
Adjust your postcards color and select the size of it. Choose the color scheme you would like from the ones shown on the wizard. As you pick the different colors, the changes are seen on the right side of the screen. Find a color scheme that you like and click "Next." Choose the size of postcard that you want and then click "Next" once more.
-
Step 3
Add additional information to your postcard and print details. The next option includes more options you can add to the Microsoft Publisher postcard, such as a map or promotional text. If you need any of these, select them and then click on "Next." Choose the type of printing you need (one or several on a page) if you are using full pages of paper stock on which to print. If you have the common postcard size paper to print on, this is discussed in Step 6.
-
Step 4
Include your personal or company information in your Microsoft Publisher postcard and review it. If you want to include your personal or business name and address on the postcard, put a check mark next to any of those options. Click on the "Finish" buttons to observe your postcard design. It is advised to name and save your postcard at this time.
-
Step 5
Customize your Microsoft Publisher postcard. You can easily change any of the details of your postcard by first selecting it and then making the necessary adjustments to it. You can add text with the text tool or other things such as "Word Art" or clip art. You could add pictures by clicking on any that are already on the postcard or by selecting "Insert" and then "Picture." Make all of the changes you need to the postcard.
-
Step 6
Print your Microsoft Publisher postcard. If you are using full size paper stock, you can simply select "Print" to print your postcard. If you have smaller size postcards, you will need to adjust the size on your printer. Select "File" then "Print Setup." Choose the size of paper you want to use from the "Size" drop-down menu under "Paper" and then click on "OK." Click on "Print..." under the "File" menu and select the printer and how many copies you need of your postcard.
