First would be scheduling your plants, meaning planting the seed or cutting at the right time so that it's not too small or not over grown when it comes time to transplant it. That depends on skill and general growing conditions.

Another problem after a couple of years could be insects. A lot of times if you are in the northern climates, you can basically let the greenhouse freeze up to kill most of the insects. If you are growing year round, you will probably get some sort infestation. We would recommend that you consult your colony extension office or local university for pest control options.

It's the same with plant disease. Sometimes if you over-water, you get diseases that will rot the plant. Again it is always best to check with your local extension office or colony agent.
