A projector television is a television that has rear RGB (red, green and blue) projection. They have three separate color lamps inside the unit itself that put the image on the back of the television. It's almost like a tube; it is actually three projector bulbs. Over a period of time with units like that, if you buy the 50" television screen with the rear projection, you have to get those bulbs realigned. Sometimes when you are watching the TV and you see the side of someone's face on the screen and you can see a double image that might be in red or green, that means the alignment of the bulbs are off. You have to get them realigned. Projector televisions just deal with projections; other television sets use tubes.
