Step 1
Prepare your skin. Dirt, oil and clogged pores can lead to a breakout. That is why it's important to cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin prior to applying makeup. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and towel dry it. Soak a cotton ball with toner and apply the toner to your face. Follow up with your daily facial moisturizer. Since mineral makeup is a powder, it is important to allow the moisturizer to fully absorb into your skin. Wait at least 10 minutes before proceeding to the next step.

Step 2
Cover up imperfections. While mineral makeup does do wonders for your skin, sometimes you need a little extra help. To conquer pesky blemishes and dark under-eye circles that make a complexion look tired and lackluster, use a concealer. Dab a small amount of concealer onto any blemishes or dark under-eye circles you may have. Use your ring finger to cover the imperfection and blend the concealer into the skin. If necessary, repeat this step until you achieve the desired amount of coverage.

Step 3
Load your brush up. One of the most important steps when it comes to mineral makeup application is loading your brush up properly. Open the jar of minerals and tap a small amount of minerals into the lid of the jar. Swirl your kabuki brush around in the minerals. The minerals should disappear from the lid and gather into the bristles of the brush. To achieve even coverage, remove any excess minerals from the brush. You can do this by tapping your brush on the side of the lid.
-
Step 4
Apply the minerals. Once you have loaded your brush up it's time to start applying the minerals. Starting with the outside of your face apply the minerals to your skin using a circular motion. You should be able to complete one layer before it is necessary to reload your brush. If you desire more coverage, repeat Step 3 and apply another layer of minerals. Continue with this process until you achieve the coverage you desire.

Step 5
Give yourself a healthy glow. Many individuals like to apply mineral bronzer to get a sunless golden glow. Swirl your powder brush over your bronzer to gather the product in the bristles of the brush. Starting with the outside of your face, lightly dust the bronzer over your skin focusing on your forehead, nose and cheeks. Blend the bronzer into your skin so there aren't any harsh lines.

Step 6
Add the finishing touch. Tap some mineral finishing powder into the lid of the jar. Swirl your powder brush around the lid in order to gather the minerals onto the brush. Starting with the outside of your face, dust a layer of finishing powder onto your skin. If necessary, repeat this step. Look in the mirror and smile. Perk up your complexion by applying blush to the apples of your cheeks.
