This quick and easy dump cake dessert recipe is delicious for the whole family! Dump in the ingredients and you get dump cake!
Ingredients:
1 Packaged Cake Mix (any flavor, but white and yellow give especially good results).
1 28-30 oz. Canned Fruit Cocktail with liquid (May substitute peaches, pears, pineapple, cherries or any fruit).
1 Stick Butter or Margarine
½ to 1 Cup Water
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350º F.
2. Coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
3. Pour the fruit and liquid into the dish and spread evenly.
4. Sprinkle the cake mix over the fruit.
5. Dot the butter or margarine evenly over the cake mix.
6. Pour the water over the top until completely moistened. (Any dry spots will result in dry patches on the cake).
7. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the cake is golden brown.
Yield: 12-15 servings. Serve with whipped cream.
