Quick And Easy Low Fat Beef Stroganoff Recipe

This quick beef stroganoff recipe is great for the family and perfect for guests! It's low-fat, delicious and easy, too!

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs. Beef Round Tip Steak, cut into 1-inch pieces about ¼-inch thick (may substitute other lean cuts).

1 Clove Garlic, peeled and minced (may substitute ½ Tsp. garlic powder).

¼ Tsp. Salt

8 oz. Wide Egg Noodles

10-12 oz. Mushrooms, sliced

½ Cup Onion, diced

1 Cup Non-Fat Milk (also called skim milk).

½ Cup Flour

¾ Cup Ice Water

½ Cup Non-Fat Sour Cream

Directions:

Note: The key to the 15-minute cooking time is to brown the meat while the noodles boil.

1. Begin cooking noodles, according to package directions.

2. In a non-stick sprayed frying pan, brown the beef over medium heat.

3. Stir in the salt and garlic.

4. Remove the beef with a slotted spoon and set aside. Reserve the pan juices.



5. In the same pan, over medium heat, saute the mushrooms and onion until tender.

6. Reduce the heat to Low and add the non-fat milk.

7. Stir the flour into the ice water.

8. Add the flour and water to the pan, and stir constantly until thickened.

9. Add the beef to the pan and heat through.

10. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream.

11. Serve over the noodles.

Yield: 6-8 servings. Round-out the meal with a green salad and serve melon balls or sherbet for dessert! Low-fat, delicious and healthy, too!
