Step 1
Begin by removing the ink cartridge from the printer by lifting the top of the printer up. The printer will move the ink cartridge cradle into place. Once the cradle stops, flip open the cartridge holder and press down on the top of the cartridge. Lift the cartridge straight up out of the cradle and examine the bottom ink jets to see if they are clogged.
-
Step 2
Dampen a paper towel with the alcohol and rub the ink jets to remove any dried ink that is clogging the system. Turn the ink cartridge over and use the small drill and drill bit supplied in the refill kit to drill a hole in the top of the cartridge, next to the sticker. This is the refill access hole.

Step 3
Fill the syringe with the appropriate amount of ink determined by consulting the chart provided in the ink refill kit and then insert the needle fully into the refill hole. Slowly push the ink into ink reservoir until no more will go in. Pull the needle out of the cartridge and place the remaining ink back into the bottle. Rinse the syringe with water and allow it to air dry. Also allow the cartridge to sit overnight in order for the ink to fully saturate the reservoir fibers.

Step 4
Reinstall the ink cartridge in the printer by dropping the newly filled cartridge into the cradle and closing the cartridge cover. Close the top of the printer and allow it to recalibrate and recognize the new cartridge. Run "Clean and Align" under print properties before printing anything.
