    • Step 1

Open the access door and allow the cartridge cradle to position itself in the access area. Flip up the cartridge cover and press down on the top of the cartridge. Pull the cartridge straight up to remove it from the cradle. Examine the ink jets on the cartridge bottom.
    • Step 2

Soak a cotton swab in alcohol and use it to wipe off any dried ink that could be clogging the ink jets. Turn the cartridge over and use the small drill supplied with the refill kit to make a small hole in the top of the ink cartridge.

    • Step 3

Fill the syringe with the color and amount of ink specified by the chart provided with refill kit. Insert the needle into the small hole and depress the plunger to release ink into the reservoir. When the capacity of the reservoir has been reached, remove the needle and rinse the syringe with water. Allow the syringe to air dry overnight.
    • Step 4

Allow the ink cartridge to sit upright for a few hours.
    • Step 5

Drop the cartridge into the cartridge cradle and flip the cartridge cover down. Close the access door and allow the printer to equilibrate and recognize the newly filled cartridge. Run "Clean and Align" under print properties prior to printing your first print job.
