Step 1
Place the ink cartridge on a rag to catch any ink that may spill from the cartridge.

Locate the Cannon product sticker located at the top of the ink cartridge.

Locate the small, gray plastic circle just below this product sticker. The circle can be found just under the large "B" on the product sticker.

Use the thumb drill provided in the refill kit to drill a small hole through this plastic circle. The drill can be operated by hand; turn the bit in a clockwise direction.

Assemble the syringe and needle included with the refill kit by turning the needle in a clockwise direction into the small end of the syringe.

Submerge the end of the needle into the ink container from the refill kit.

Fill the syringe with ink by slowly withdrawing the syringe plunger.

Step 8
Withdraw the needle from the ink container and insert the needle into the hole that was drilled into the ink cartridge in Step 4.

Step 9
Press down slowly on the syringe plunger to refill the ink cartridge.

Step 10
Place the small piece of tape included with the refill kit over the hole in the ink cartridge, once filled.
