  • Overview

Adware is a variation of spyware. It is typically installed on your computer without your knowledge or approval, and collects information about you so it can target advertising to you. Virtumonde is a particularly nasty version of adware. It displays pop-up advertisements that appear to be valid spyware-removal programs, causing even more potential problems for your system if you click on these counterfeit downloads. If you have Virtumonde on your computer, it is imperative that you remove it as quickly as possible.
