Overview
It's 4:45 PM and you're at work finishing up a last-minute report. You hit print, you hear the sweet sound of your print job processing and everything is right with the world. Then, you go over to pick up your report, only to find it half finished and "Ink Cartridge Approaching Expiration Date" displayed on the printer. While frustrating, this little incident need not keep you late, here's how to take replace the ink cartridge and get your printing finished.

Step 1
Make sure printer is on and lift the top of the printer assembly that accesses the ink cartridges until it locks securely in an upright position. -
Step 2
Push the gray button on the color cartridge holder to open after the print carrier moves to the middle of the printer. The color cartridge is on the right. -
Step 3
Pull out the color cartridge and dispose of or store in a sealed container. -
Step 4
Remove the tape from the back and bottom of your new color cartridge and insert it into the printer until it clicks firmly into place. -
Step 5
Close the cartridge holder and top of the printer.

- Do not touch metal on your new ink cartridge. Touch only the black plastic.
