How to Replace Ink Cartridges in the Epson Stylus 777

    Running out of ink in a printer can really ruin a person's day. It is best to change the ink cartridge as soon as you receive the low ink level warning on your computer screen. Sometimes, you don't have an extra cartridge handy and you press on. But, when the printer starts to print too light for you to see, you now have no choice. You must replace the cartridge on your Epson Stylus 777.
    How to Replace Ink Cartridges in the Epson Stylus 777
    • Step 1

      Turn on the printer.
    • Step 2

      Open the printer cover.


    • Step 3

      Position the print head to the center of the carriage. This is easily performed by pressing the cartridge replacement button. Do not move the print head manually. This can cause permanent damage to the printer.
    • Step 4

      Gently push on the release tabs. Lift the clamp to the ink cartridge as far as it will go. This will cause the cartridge to rise slightly.
    • Step 5

      Remove the cartridge. Immediately add the new cartridge. This will help to stop the print heads from drying out.
    • Step 6

      Remove the tape from the new cartridge. There are several colored tape seals on the cartridge. Remove the yellow one and no others.
    • Step 7

      Place cartridge into clamp and gently push into place. Do not force the cartridge.

      Press the cartridge replacement button.

      Close the printer cover.
