We have a lot of independent restaurants, which are what I usually suggest because you can eat McDonald's at home. We have several different kinds of restaurants depending on what you are looking for. We don't really have one specific flavor, so to speak. We just have a lot of different restaurants. Cafe Patachou was ranked in the top 10 in the country for places to eat breakfast by Bon Appetite magazine. It's a family restaurant, they use all fresh produce, and they are known for their omelets. All of the eggs come from range-fed chickens so it really makes a difference in the way they taste. So that's something that's kind of unique. El Sol de Tala is a Mexican restaurant started by a Mexican immigrant who moved here. He started a small restaurant on the east side. It was so successful that he opened up another one downtown and he has a huge piece of art work in the foyer that kind of showcases his history of how he got to where he is today. He has all hand-carved, hand-painted furniture there. St. Elmo Steak House is a well-known restaurant downtown that has been in existence for over 100 years. It's well known for its delicious steak. They also have what they call the "world famous mouth-watering, sinus-clearing jumbo shrimp cocktail." It's really, really good. They have this huge shrimp cocktail, but then the red cocktail has fresh horseradish that they grind there at the restaurant everyday. They also have a 20,000 bottle wine cellar and private dining rooms. Whenever athletes or movie stars come to town, St. Elmo is generally one of their stops. Oceanaire is a fine dining seafood restaurant where they fly their fish and seafood in daily. You also have Palomino, which is another seafood restaurant. We actually surprisingly have a lot of seafood restaurants. We have a lot of music type restaurants. We have The Jazz Kitchen and Jazz Cooker both of which have live entertainment and a variety of food. Iaria's Italian Restaurant is a nice little Italian restaurant. This family came to this country from Southern Italy with their eight children back in early 1900s. They took in boarders from the local automotive plants and then fed them and then they converted that into a restaurant. So it's a fourth generation that keeps that restaurant alive now and that's got real good home cooked Italian food.
