Venice restaurants focus mainly on seafood and Italian fare. The thing I remember about being in Venice were the wonderful sidewalk cafes. Also every meal comes with fruit and will be in the form of a rather large ball with many pieces of fruit in it - say a peach or banana, cluster of grapes, and three or four other types of fruits. I always tried to eat it all and within three days of being there I had so many canker sores in my mouth I had to stop. But the food was so good; it was wonderful.
How is the wine in Venice?
Venice has absolutely wonderful wine and that's another thing you get with every meal. You don't want to drink the tap water for obvious reasons. I am sure they have bottled water, but they wine is served with every meal.
