The prime dining area as far as neighborhoods are concerned would be Ventura Harbor Village. Our beachfront has several restaurants along the pier and in some of the hotels along the beach, which are mostly seafood restaurants.
There are also scattered in those areas some good Mexican, Brazilian, and Californian restaurants. Mexican food is prevalent everywhere and usually wonderful. As you come into downtown we have a lot more diversity. We have Peruvian, Thai, Argentinean, French, Italian, and gourmet fast food restaurants. There are old-fashioned burger stands that have been around for 30, 40 years and are serving big greasy burgers that are really good. Also downtown we have restaurants with live entertainment, great martini bars, wine bars, and several tasting rooms.
