Winter in Breckenridge is great for singles. There is always a party going at Breckenridge, because we have a large population of local singles. Visitors very much benefit from that.
For couples, we have several bed and breakfasts to choose from plus we have some very romantic private homes and condos with your own hot tub. We have massages, romantic dinners, and sleigh rides where you just bundle up in a blanket after dinner in the moonlight. There are some really great restaurants like The Heart Stone that can set the mood for romance. The scenery here in general sets a very romantic mood for sitting in a hot tub while it's snowing. In the summer there are great orchestral performances in the Riverwalk Center with a picnic lunch in the sunshine. They sometimes have wine receptions on the lawn before their performances while the wild flowers are in bloom. It's quite romantic. Our cool nights are always a good excuse for cuddling.
We are a very popular destination for weddings, because the scenery can be quite spectacular. There is a great place called Elkridge Ranch just outside of town with a view that is almost unparalleled. The majority of our weddings are held in the summer. Historic churches offer a great setting and are usually very colorful.
