San Francisco's countless restaurants are diverse enough to satisfy any appetite or budget.

There will be no problems for anyone searching for a restaurant in such a large and culture-rich city as San Francisco. Most major streets and sections of the city boast their own excellent restaurants for unique dining experiences.

It is a difficult undertaking indeed to list even a portion of the fabulous restaurants in the City by the Bay, so this review will offer a random sampling of various cuisines and prices. Only average entree and dessert prices will be listed.

One of the newest restaurants in town is The Last Supper Club. The cuisine is Italian and the prices are moderate. Expect to pay $15 to $19 for your entree and all desserts are $6.50. The restaurant suggests arriving by cab due to difficult parking. Dinner is served starting at 5:30 every night of the week and is served until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, 10 p.m. other nights.

The Last Supper Club also serves lunch on weekdays and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Lunch serving begins at 11:30 a.m. and brunch is available between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Last Supper Club offers an extensive wine list and dessert cocktails and wines are on the menu.

If Indian food is your choice for dinner, try Indian Oven in the Lower Haight section of the city. Dinner entrees will range between $11 and $15 and dessert will add $3. Vegetarian and Tandoori specialties are available.

There are many Indian restaurants in San Francisco, with many of them offering the ever-popular Indian lunch buffets. If you do the research ahead of time, or ask the locals while traveling, chances are that you will be able to find a buffet within a short distance. A few other Indian cuisine restaurants in the city from which to choose are Indian Palace, Star India, Nan N' Curry (Pakistani food served here as well), India Garden, Tandoori Mahal, India Clay Oven, Bombay, Star India, and India Curry House to name a few.

Joe's offers "Hungry Person Specials" and "Paul Bunyan Specials" and no one should ever go away from this restaurant hungry. Prices at Joe's are inexpensive.

Specialties and entrees at Limon are fun to consider, especially if this type of cuisine isn't familiar to the diner. Any choice on the menu will be a good one. The workers are happy to answer questions for anyone not acquainted with this type of food.

Rick's Restaurant and Bar is the place to go for a Hawaiian ambiance and music. Prices are moderate ($13 to $22 per entree) and there is open mic, live music, and karaoke on certain nights. Diners have food choices that are the next best thing to actually traveling to the islands. Rick offers a special they call "Goliath Stew" which is a combination of crab, calamari, prawns, clams, whitefish, and mussels.

The first course of dinner will average $12 to $15 with the main course in the $24 to $34 range. Dessert averages around $9. Jazz music is played via CD while diners enjoy the meal in this two-story restaurant.

A. Sabella's Restaurant is located in the Fisherman's Wharf area. The dining area on the third floor gives diners a view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and even Alcatraz. The specialty here is seafood, as would be expected, but other entrees including steaks and chops, are offered. The wine list at A. Sabella's is extensive. Many of the entrees will cost $20 to $30, with some items such as red abalone and Maine lobster costing more.
