Overview
EdenPure heaters are a cost-effective way to reduce heating costs. Although they are not a whole-house heating solution, they increase the temperature in rooms that are most often used, which allows the thermostat to be set lower for other rooms in the house. They are sold through direct mail, newspapers, magazines, online sources, authorized dealers, and television and radio advertisements.
Types
EdenPURE heaters are a ceramic heater that are claimed to reduce heating costs by as much as 50 percent. These space heaters heat an area up to 1,000 square feet. There are three different models available as of 2009. Each has a different level of heating options, different style of wheels and a different cabinet, along with an increased number of settings based on the price of the model.
Considerations
The advertisers claim that EdenPURE ceramic heaters cannot start a fire. The cabinet stays cool, or only slightly warm, to the touch. Using a space heater allows the main heat in the home to be set lower, saving on the over-all home energy bill. However, there will be an increase in the electricity required to run the space heater. Each home is different and some homeowners do not notice a difference in over-all heating costs when adding the increase in electricity to the decrease in fuel, propane or natural gas used for the main heat source for the home.

Retail Sources
Many home appliance and heating retail stores also carry EdenPURE heaters. However, there are no national chains that have this heater in stock.
