Step 1
Join Efax. There are two membership plans: Plus and Pro. Each one carries a subscription fee that can be billed annually or monthly. You will need a credit card to sign up for the service.
-
Step 2
Set up your Efax account. You will have to enter personal information, such as your telephone number and e-mail address, in order to sign up for the service and make your eFax account functional.
-
Step 3
Check your membership settings. A pro member will be allowed 200 free efaxes per month, while a plus member has 160 free faxes per month. If you have already reached your quota, you will need to wait until the next month to avoid paying for the faxes.
-
Step 4
Scan and send your fax. Efax makes it very simple to scan and upload documents, or e-mail saved documents as a fax. Simply upload the file to be faxed, put in your name and email, and then select your recipient(s).

Step 5
Keep track of faxes both sent and received. Because Efax counts both faxes sent and received toward your free monthly limit, it is very important to monitor all faxes that come through your account.
