Determine your budget. The flower company will create an appropriate arrangement within this budget. For example, you can order a small arrangement for $29.99, medium for $39.99 or large for $49.99.

Decide which type of flowers suits the occasion. Florists offer many different flower varieties such as roses, tulips, orchids, lilies, gerbera daisies, iris and tropical flowers. For example, you might order roses for an anniversary and orchids for a birthday. If you order a mixed rose arrangement instead of red roses, you can often save money.

Step 3
Include balloons or candy, such as chocolates or gummy bears, with the flowers. You can also add a fun stuffed animal to the arrangement. This will cost you an additional $10 to $30, on average.

Determine your message. Your flower arrangement will come with a card. If the flowers are for a special occasion, the vendor may have special occasion cards. Having the message written out in advance will make the ordering process much quicker.

Order your flowers. Companies like FTD and 1.800.Flowers make it really easy to complete your order online (see Resources). Just find the flower arrangement you want, add it to the basket and complete the transaction online.
