The first thing that you need to know is a budget is a guidleline of things you can afford. A budget is a planned description of the amount of money you can spend. The best way to handle the budget issue when shopping is to be organized and have a list. With the shopping list try not to deivate from it. The list should be made while at home. The first thing that you need to list are all the items that you use on a weekly basis and are out of. Some example of these items are milk, sugar, salt, bread and soap. The next thing that should be on the list are things that you want to have for dinner. Some of these items are, chicken, fish meats, veggies and fruits. The next thing on this budget should be treats. These items could include cookies, ice cream and candy.

Another way to keep to a budget is to look in the newspaper and compare items that are on your list to other stores. Even if you don't normally shop at that store saving afew dollars here and there is better in the long run. You may say that the ccostt of gas going from store to store is not justifyed but, you can buy more than one item at your new store.



The next thing to keep to your budget is become a card member of the supermaarket in your area. Most larger chains have cards that offer even more saving than which are advertisted in the paper. Also the card also offer saving to those who only have the card.

Another way to maintain a budget is to use coupns. These little slipsof paper can save you 10, 20 dollars. Most markets offer double coupons. It is best to start with the sunday paper and look for the items on your list.
