We just got a new shopping area north of Melbourne called the Avenue Viera, which has some high-end shopping. It also has Old Navy, Belk (a big Florida department store), and a restaurant called The Melting Pot. We have a 16-screen movie theater with stadium seating and lots of smaller restaurants and specialty shops.
Downtown Melbourne has some unique stores as well. We have a very specialized candle shop called the Chandlery with unique gifts, candles, and aromatherapy. It's wonderful. There are some women's clothing shops specializing in cruise wear since we are one of the biggest cruise ports in the area. Lots of tourists pass through Port Canaveral. There are also some gift basket places and nice gift shops.
