The quality of leather - there are basically three types of leather. From the top grade, they cut the leather in three sections if that makes sense.
I would make sure that it is stitched well and if leather has not been stitched very well then it is not going to hold up. If leather is very strong, it is a very good product. If they have not stitched it properly and you are sitting on it all the time, you know the weakest points are going to be the stitches. I personally like the double stitched leather pattern. Make sure that it is real leather and not a nagahide.
Nagahide is fine if you do not want the real leather, but if somebody is showing you all this as real leather, a lot of times in the places you actually do not really touch, they will put the nagahide on there. That is important to know I would think- if you are going to pay more money for leather furniture- know just what kind of leather it is. Make sure you are aware if somebody sells you an all leather sofa or partial leather sofa.
