20-25 minutes daily is optimal, but it may not be practical, so what we want to do is make it so, we don't want to make this another thing that we fell guilty about. We want to make this something that gives us joy and so if a person can do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays but not on Mondays and Wednesdays then fine. If a person finds that they, then they'll start to add to it. Once you start coming to something joyfully, you'll start finding and creating spaces to do it. It's not about making yourself do something "Oh I have to do this or I'm going to feel bad.' You want to feel good, and whatever its going to take to feel good and so if once a week and you feel good about that, its still, I've had people say, 'well, if I can only come once a week, is that enough and I say well its more than you're doing right now. I would much rather somebody under schedule than over-schedule themselves. Even if they can't do the whole thing, if they can sit with their spine erect for 5 minutes and breathe consciously, they'll get benefit. If someone is looking to achieve real benefits from the practice of yoga, being both mental and physical benefits then they have to do it every day.
