Overview
Strivectin SD is an anti-stretch mark cream that's used by pregnant women to reduce the appearance of stretch marks on their skin. The effects of the cream were so profound that others began using it not only for stretch marks but also to promote healthy skin and elasticity. While it does have some benefits, it also has some significant side effects.
Itching
One common side effect associated with using Strivectin SD is itching of the face. This occurs on the areas of the skin where the user placed it, but it doesn't affect everyone who tried it. There are reports that using the eye cream from the same company can cause this reaction. The itching ranges from a minor itch, similar to a bug bite, to a more extreme itching. The only way it stopped was to take the cream off and wash the face.
Skin Color
Changes in the color of the user's skin has been reported in some cases where the user tried Strivectin SD. This typically makes the user's face appear red, which can vary from a bright red color to a dull pink shade. The color variation can affect a large portion of their skin, even in areas where they didn't use the cream. In cases where the user has sensitive skin, this effect can be even worse and more extreme.
Irritation
Irritation of the skin is another side effect associated with using Strivectin SD. This irritation is usually mild, though in some cases it can worsen, especially if the individual keeps using the cream after the irritation begins. This typically takes on the look of a small skin rash in that it's marked by small red bumps on the skin. The bumps can sometimes itch, but this doesn't happen in all cases. Only a small number of users have experienced this side effect.
Headache
A mild headache is sometimes reported as a side effect of using Strivectin SD. Users who continued to use the cream even after experiencing the headache often report that the headaches worsened over time. Those who stopped using the cream claimed that the headaches stopped completely. Doctors recommend that those who have a headache while using Strivectin SD cease using the cream immediately. If the headache worsens or other side effects are reported, they should seek medical help.
Nausea
Nausea is a rare side effect associated with using Strivectin SD. Though it only occurs in a small number of patients, it has been reported as a problem in the past. This has been reported as a mild nauseous feeling, which may be the result of an allergic reaction with certain ingredients in the cream. In some extreme cases, the nauseous feeling worsened with prolonged use, leading to vomiting or the feeling one is about to vomit.
