Some of the signs that somebody may have an eating disorder would be if they are wearing baggy clothing, or when you invite them to come spend time with you, they decline repeatedly or tend to isolate themselves. If they begin to make negative self statements, if they begin to appear oppositely of how you've known them, whatever that might mean. If you notice that when you invite them to go eat they've "just eaten" or they are planning to eat later and are avoiding food, if you notice that they may eat and then excuse themselves immediately, if you notice that they have got excessively dry hair or dry skin or you notice that there are calluses on the back of their fingers, these are all signs of an eating disorder. If you notice that they have a swollen chipmunk appearance, the parotids and the carotid glands may be swollen. If you notice that they tend to no longer engage in things that they enjoyed in the past, if you notice the difference from how you knew the person, this may be a sign.
