St. Augustine is located on the northeast coast of Florida and it's roughly 25 miles south of Jacksonville, Florida and about 25 miles north of Daytona Beach. So it's right in between those two cities. Actually we are called "St. Augustine Beach" because we have 42 miles of beach; that's one of the major attractions here. And we have several towns that have the name "beach" in it like Ponte Vedra Beach, Crescent Beach, and St. Augustine Beach. We couldn't squeeze all of them into the title, so we just say "and the beaches" which covers all those towns that have that word beach in their names.
