Of course the sheets are sized for when you go into a retail store. When you go up to buy sheets, they are going say King, California King, Queen, double, or twin. Actually, they are going by the size of your fitted sheet. The king size sheet is 78 x 80. The California King is not quite as long, but a little wider. The size of the California King is 72 x 84. For a queen, the size is 60 x 80. The full size fitted sheet is 54 x 75. The twin is 39 inches x 76 inches. There is also the specialty sheet, for some dorms, that is called the twin extra long. It's size is 39 x 80. Of course, your flat sheet matches the size of your fitting sheet. If you are getting king fitted sheets, you are obviously going to buy that king flat sheet.
