Step 1
Decide what services you are going to offer to the public. Once you decide on the services, think of a company name. Eventually, you will need to register your business with the state and get an EIN, should you want to expand or get credit or a bank account in the business name.
-
Step 2
Find hosting to create a web presence. There are many places in which you can get free hosting (see Resources below). With some of these, you will have to amend your name to their name as a sub account, (myservices.free-webhosts.com), but when you start making money, you can get your own name and pay for individual web hosting.
-
Step 3
Design a webpage for the services being offered. Most free hosting sites offer templates you can use. You do not have to have any webpage programming experience to use templates.
-
Step 4
Open a free blog account at one of the free blog hosting sites, such as blogspot.com. Blog about your services and link the blog to your webpage. Submit both the blog and the webpage to search engines such as google.com and yahoo.com. Advertise on free ad services such as craigslist.com and kijiji.com.
-
Step 5
Start free accounts at websites such as twitter, myspace, reddit and other free networking sites. Once you open accounts, search for people who have the same interests as you. Do not spam them---join forums and conversations, making sure to put your web address in your signature on each forum you join. Put your website in your signature on your email.
