Try and substitute a little healthy fat for sugar when your sweet tooth strikes. So instead of grabbing for the cookie jar, try having an apple or pear with a chunk of natural aged cheese, blue cheese or cheddar cheese maybe a goat cheese or tablespoon of cashew peanut butter or almond butter.


Another option would be a cup of plain yogurt with a spoonful of fruit butter. So it's a little sweet but nowhere near as sweet as a cookie. There is not very much nutritional value to cookies and the lot of these frozen low calorie sweet things. Fruit butter could be like apple butter, plum butter, peach butter or pear butter so these are spreads made from fruit without adding sweeteners and stuff added in there. It's very good. It's nowhere near as sweet as any of the fruit spreads the other fruit spreads.
