There are no harmful side effects that come to mind. I have never heard of any. No. Sometimes Reiki accelerates the healing process and sometimes before something starts to feel better it starts to feel worse. I don't know if that makes sense. For example, one woman who had a lot of allergy problems came to me and the first day I did Reiki to her, she came back the next day and said "madam, I feel terrible, I have all this drainage". It was because Reiki had started the healing process, but it hadn't finished it and so it got all of the mucus to drain into the back of her throat and make her throat sore. She was having all these problems, and by the end of the fourth treatment she was fine. It had accelerated the healing process and it got it moving, but it also finished it. That is something, you may occasionally feel worse before you feel better, but if you stick with it you will feel better in the end. That is the only thing that has ever been reported to me and all the other practitioners that have spoken with. The reason that there are no side effects is because it is so natural. It is something that your body needs. It is not like taking a pill where your body did need some of that but it also has all these extra ingredients that you didn't need for healing and so in result have all of these side effects. It is something that your body does need and it is something that is naturally there. We aren't putting anything into the body that isn't already there. It doesn't have to be processed through your organs in order to work.
