What are some tips for healthy eating? Tips for eating healthy. Drink more water, most important thing. Drink more water. 3-4 quarts of water a day depending on how big you are and how active you are but...
We need water to function. We are like 60-70% water and even a slight dehydration can cause less mental focus, less physical energy, our digestion slows down, people typically will get a little constipated, feel fatigued, so for just staying healthy, we need water. If you want to be very healthy or very fit, you really need to make sure that you are properly hydrated on a regular basis. And then some other tips for healthy eating is to try to eat more real food, less pastas, more fruits, not juice, but fruits in its natural little package and container, vegetables whether they are fresh or they are steamed, but not deep fried and covered with cheese sauce. Foods are lot closer to how they came from Mother Nature, lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, whole grain, beans and minimizing the junk, minimizing the high fat, high sugar treats, a few treats no big deal. I tell my, if you eat healthy 80% of the time, great. You will be mostly healthy. If you eat healthy 20% of the time, 80% is unhealthy. So, it's really just consistency over time. You could still have treats but minimizing that and maximizing the nutritious, good for you, high fiber, high protein, low junk, low fat, low sugar, less pastas, more real food. Clean and lean. Clean and lean and green as we say, clean, lean, green and more protein. Now most folks don't eat enough vegetables at all and the food they eat is either dried or juice and when they do have protein, it's mixed with bunch of creamy sauce or cheesy dressing or whatever you know.
