If you are talking about doing longer bike rides, make sure that you are preparing a few days in advance. Things like staying hydrated; drinking enough water and fluids to make sure that you are not dehydrated; getting a goodnight's rest and getting a good balanced meal every night for the few nights before. Not doing things like dehydrating your body and putting yourself in a position where you are going to get out there and you will give out. Also on a longer bike ride trail, you need to carry a few snacks along. There is a lot of different high-energy foods like easy to grab and go designer sports bars. The power bars and want not are out there for reasons. Your body burns a lot of calories and if you are going to be out for a couple of hours and you do not start to put those calories back it could make things harder going.


There are actually bike tour guides, although they are not common for shorter trips. They are for longer adventures. There are a lot of nice bike tour companies out there and you can search for any number of them. Whether you like road bikes, doing road cycling or mountain bikes, there are a lot of companies that do that. Most of them are going to the destination cycling, but say for instance you want to go to France; I work as a professional tour guide during the month of July in France. I take people on trips.
