Most innovative stuff I do is going to somebody's house and training them with what they have to work with and you can get as creative as you want. I have some folks who were using soup cans out of the cupboards to act as weights. I think the resistive bands are pretty good because of they are lightweight, easy to hold down and easy to use. Any of the resistive bands work pretty well. The exercise ball is good and there are a lot of different things you can do with the ball that will do a total body work out. Again, it is all about how creative you want to be with your work outs. I try to do a hands-on approach when I am personally training somebody in the sense that I take what they have to work with around the house. Some people don't want to go to a gym. They want to work out at their house. So I evaluate what we have to work with, maybe there are stairs around their neighborhood some place so they can do circuit training running stairs like here at the gym. It is this kind of creativity to make your workout as you want it to be with whatever you have.
