The Nevada Maze, the corn maze is a great thing for kids to do in Fallon. The museum is a wonderful place for kids to go and learn about the history of the Pony Express. They can learn about the ancient people that inhabited the area a long time ago. In fact, just seven miles east of Fallon is a place called Grimes Point which is a place where petroglyph and rock writings are found. Kids could go out there and study the rock drawings and take a self-guided tour along the mountains out there and they can see where the ancient people wrote on these rocks. It's always a cool thing to do. Fallon has got a lot of wide open space surrounding it and so it's a great place to go fossil hunting. Of course, kids enjoy all of those special events that I just mentioned. There is a lot of hunting and fishing that can be done around here which is really great thing for kids to get involved with.
