We have over 14 performing arts venues in Rochester including the Coral Arts Theater and the Civic Theater. We have an orchestra and a repertory theater, so on any given weekend, I can guarantee there is something in town to captivate your attention. We have 10 unique area golf courses located in Rochester. I would also encourage people to visit Quarry Hill Nature Center. It's a 270 acre center that shows you some of the wildlife that exists here. There is also a cave tour there which is actually kind of neat. They have 1700 gallon native fish display aquarium as well. One of our pride and joys here in Rochester is the Rochester Art Center. They bring in traveling exhibits and have native Minnesotan Art in a park land adjacent to our convention center. I would suggest a link from our website as well for hiking and biking trails. The link will take you to specific maps so you can get an idea of where you want to go. You can pick up a bigger, more accurate map at our visitor's center, but just to get a general idea of our 29 miles of bike trails, you can go to our website. The interesting thing about our trail system is that you never really have to cross a street. They all have overpasses, so it's very safe to take your kids. We also have about 200 camping sites city wide. I would recommend St. Paul's Historic Como Park. They have a zoo there, so if you are camping you can take the kids. We also have some campgrounds located near the downtown area for those who need to get in and out of downtown on a daily basis.
